Them, and several other sectors, and Padmé gets news of this just as Palpatine declares Empire, and then she and the handmaidens left (she's down to ten at that point) scatter, mostly getting back to Separatist space (Sabé being one exception, and thought dead for a while). I think the Chommel Sector going over to the Separatists is part of what pushes Palpatine to the declaration of Empire, because if he waits too much longer, he's going to start loosing political support, and he needs to consolidate his power now.
