Calleigh flipped her cell phone shut, trying to supress a small smile, heading for the autopsy theater. Life is never boring when that particular Immortal shows her face in Miami. She shook her head, composing herself before stepping into the theater.

"Hey, Alexx. You about to do the autopsy on the man pulled out of the surf?" Calleigh smiled at the medical examiner over the body on the table. And he's definately another of her type. Cute, if you like the beak of a nose.

"I was just getting started." Alexx smiled back, looking down at the man, and stroking a gentle hand over his forehead. "Who put you in the water, handsome?"

Calleigh managed not to jump as the man started to sputter, coughing up the water in his lungs as his body finally finished healing whatever had dropped him in the water in the first place. Alexx leapt back, her eyes widening as she let out a small yelp of surprise.

"Bloody pirate," the man muttered, slowly opening his eyes, brown meeting Calleigh's blue, recognition blooming in them after a moment. "The Miami Watcher."

"Which means you must be Adam Pierson." Calleigh looked up at Alexx, an apologetic expression on her face. This wasn't the ideal way to find out about Immortals. "Your friend Joe called to let me know you were on your way to Miami."

"Not how I'd prefer to arrive." Methos sat up, wrapping the sheet that had covered him around his waist.

"What is going on here?" Alexx met Calleigh's gaze, raising both eyebrows in unspoken question. "He was dead."

"I'm sorry, Alexx." Calleigh moved around to stand closer to her friend. "Adam is an Immortal. He can't die unless someone chops his head off. Though some have been known to die from other causes. Usually there isn't a body when that happens."

"It would be nice if someone did that to Alysse. Wouldn't have to worry about her dragging me out on that bloody boat of hers." Methos scratched the back of his head a moment. "You wouldn't happen to know where my clothes are, would you?"

Calleigh chuckled. "I'm sorry, Adam. The lab already has them. I can't get them for you until the investigation is over."

"Great." Methos sighed, looking down at the sheet with an annoyed expression. "I haven't worn a toga in over a thousand years. Remind me to thank Alysse for a repeat experience of one of my least favorite forms of clothing."

"If you don't mind waiting for a little while, I can bring you something to wear other than the sheet. I have to talk to Horatio first, and let him know Alysse's back in Miami." Calleigh pressed her lips together. "Alexx, I know I shouldn't ask you to do this, but can you cover for a missing body?"
