There's nothing left of what we know, out there. Just dust and dying stars waiting to birth new ones. An Empire that spans the stars, a people without a home, and another that doesn't know the meaning of surrender. We're not who we were, and we will never be that again.
We are a people of blood-stained hands and shattered hope. Of wounded souls and broken hearts. What future can we build from such uncertain and haunted beginnings but one that is better than the past we have left behind?
I walk through shadows, and I hold a light for others to follow, given to me by those who came before me. I have hands to catch those who fall, a blade to defend those who seek protection, and a voice to speak for those who no longer can. I love and I fear, I know joy and I know anger. I have seen hate and I have seen despair, but I will not let them extinguish the light.
