Mini Nano Day 5
Nov. 5th, 2015 01:02 pmActually the last piece I worked on yesterday, but my word count today is being responses and meta work and notes rather than story bits, so.
MCU: Holding Onto Each Other AU
"You did not have to chose to remain here." Thor doesn't look up from the letter he's scribing for Darcy, though he isn't certain why she asked him to do so. "Even to stand for a person accused does not mean you must also bear their punishment alongside them."
"Tell Jane it's nice here. Good food, interesting company." Darcy continues to add little lies to the story she wants him to convey to Jane, until Thor looks up. "And I know, Thor. I knew what I was getting into when I said Loki is ours. We both did."
"Then why did you chose to remain shut in here?" He gestures to the cage they're in, unable to stop the troubled frown from creasing his face. "With only each other and Loki for company?"
"Why wouldn't I?" Darcy smiles, shaking her head. "The only reason to stay outside would be to break Loki out, and there's no one here who will listen to us. Except you, and you're not going to tell your dad you think it's better for Loki to be out where he can try to fix things."
Thor snorts at the idea. "Loki would only make things worse."
"According to your dad." Darcy's smile fades. "He doesn't know everything, and he never will. He's too caught up in the idea that he knows what's best, and he's trying to make you play his game by his rules, even when it hurts everyone around him, including you."
