So I spent yesterday and this morning working on this piece of art, which is Master Alliard, mentioned in Creche Meetings. She’s a character who never actually shows up in the text, but she’s also the one I had the best base image to play with for this kind of art.

This is the first time I’ve done this in well over a decade, so I was relearning some of my tools in the process. I think she came out pretty well.

Base image is one of Ian McKellen holding a walking stick. Scutes are done based on a small tortoise with bright scutes over darker skin, and the eye coloration is from the same tortoise. The base skin tone comes from a giant tortoise.
