An axiom that works pretty well for goods and services, because you really can't get all three. (Granted, you can APPEAR to get all three, but that only works if you've got enough money for when Good becomes Broken. Or food poisoning. Or an allergic reaction. Or you get my point.)
The background is classic James Bond Q, with stuff laid out around him. Because gadgets, and of course I'm going to use this Q for this icon.
Romana. Not one or two, but Romana as she's regenerated into for a couple of my AUs. Particularly In the Doctor's Place and Fairytales and Nightmares. This is the Romana that Koschei is in love with in F&N. The woman who is all alone in the universe, the last of the Time Lords in ItDP. Also the Romana I'd use for RPGs if I were still doing that, which. Not so much, not as an organized thing.

Fandom, ideally, accepts you no matter what you chose to wear, no matter who you are, no matter where you go. So, wear that loud and garish shirt! Wear the highly formal gear in a casual setting! Dress for the 15th century in the 21st! Show off your regional dress that isn't local casual 'normal'! And fuck off if you have a problem with anyone who does just that.

Date: 2020-04-07 03:22 am (UTC)Of classic Who, while Fourth Doctor is who I think of when I think of The Doctor, and there are lots of companions I recall enough to put name to face, Romana is the only one I actually ever have the impetus to write. Just. She made the biggest and best impression on me, and while I'm far more fond of her first regeneration than her second, both are awesome.
And to be honest, other than the Fourth Doctor, she was the only one I recalled clearly before doing a rewatch of some of classic Who in the last decade. Which also contributes to her having a spot in my heart.
