Working on Admit Me, Chorus to This History, as well as a little finishing on my [community profile] intoabar fic and posting that. Some time also spent on one of the stories in the Eternal Plantagenet AU, with [livejournal.com profile] auberus.

My [community profile] intoabar fic is Anat & Draco, and is posted to Dreamwidth and LiveJournal already, and will be posted to AO3 and my website when I get there in the Great Crossposting Project.

Intercepting Letters From the Queen is the next part to be posted for the Eternal Plantagenet AU, though there's stories missing between The Favor of a Goddess and that particular story. I'll probably post that before I go to work today (yes, it's Sunday; no, I wouldn't normally work on a Sunday; I volunteered when they asked if there were people willing to work on Sunday).

The other story in that AU, that hasn't been worked on this weekend, is set in the modern day, has some references to Highlander-style immortality, and is a crossover with Criminal Minds. In that the main character other than Henry in it is Aaron Hotchner. And I'm looking at the story and cringing at Henry in the later part - might go back and rewrite that whole scene later before even trying to send it to a beta. [livejournal.com profile] auberus is writing Hotchner, so as long as she's happy with her characterization of him, all that remains is making sure of things before posting.

Admit Me, Chorus to This History... has a chapter division, and thoughts on where other chapter divisions will go when I get far enough. Possibly. Depending on word count and other factors, like where the scenes from the Chorus are placed. I may convince myself to post the story index and the first chapter before bed tonight or not. All depends on how much further I get in slogging through the current scene.

Said scene is being difficult because I'm fussing about my characterization of Henry IV, who is a large part of this scene. The rest of the characters I have a good thought on, but him I'm fussing about. And the other part that has me fussy and made me step away from it at the moment is there are too bloody many Henry's in this. Henry IV, Henry V, Henry Scroop, Henry Beaufort, and later Henry VI. Probably why I was determined that none of the OCs in the story would be named Henry. It's really a matter of what to call them so they're easily distinguished. Henry V, of course, is simply Henry. Henry Beaufort is Bishop Beaufort, being as he's the Bishop of Winchester. That, or "his uncle the bishop". Henry Scroop is Scroop, because that's the part of his name that's more readily recognizable.

However, Henry IV... I can't just call him Henry, because that's Henry V. And epithets, no matter which one I use, get old. Same with Beaufort, though I'm trying to use his surname and his title. I could, I suppose, in places use King Henry to distinguish Henry IV from Henry V in this chapter (which will end with the former's death and the succession of the latter to the throne). I just... oh, I'm just fussing about it, and will figure it out sooner or later. And see what [livejournal.com profile] hyarrowen says of it, and if the use of epithets doesn't detract from the story. *sighs, and mutters at herself*

Anyway. Scene's being a little difficult between the characterization (and the subsequent poking at the internet to see what I can find to feed my imagination... possibly also later asking if my hosts have any books which might have some reference to Henry IV) and my fussiness regarding the use of epithets rather than names. I'll get there eventually, and then it's on to the next plot point, and figuring out how much of what's going on in the five years between where it is now and the end of the chapter actually is going to be mentioned in the chapter.
