Crossposting from tumblr: package squee, and blanket progress

*loud, unholy shrieks of delight, and lots of flailing*

[personal profile] thedeadcat, you are awesome and fantastic! *hugs you* This is so awesome!

Two new F-hooks means I can switch between projects easier. And a K-hook for teaching people with easy-to-see yarn and hook. *bounces around happily*

And the pretty, pretty ring! *flails with glee and delight* I shall have to make a cord for it, so I can wear it even when I have to take it off my finger to work on stuff where it gets in the way. :)

Progress update! Now the Bali has been added to the bottom - the color is a bit washed out here, on pretty much all the colors - and the Lipstick to the top. Now I just keep adding rows until the pattern is done, and then all the rows of solid background color. I may have to do some adjustments to the pattern next time, but so far it’s coming out a lot the way I have been expecting it to.

Project

I have a box full of Paton's Grace, a size F crochet hook, and a pattern of flowers and vines and leaves that I'm making up as I go. I think this is going to be an entertaining one to work on. Six-sided blanket, and it's going to be... well, I have no idea what size it's going to be, because I haven't made up my mind on that yet. Big, though. Many, many rows.

So I have gone and gotten an account on Ravelry. And posted the Who Scarf of Doom as a project. Which has, in the last week, involved locating it in the box it's been in for the last six months and more, getting pictures of it rolled up and unrolled, untangling the mess the one skein of yarn has made of itself, locating the one yarn (which is not my usual brand of worsted weight, but still, I found it), and finding where the heck I put the patterns for the name panels.

Now all I need to do is find the energy and enthusiasm to work on it around other things. Certain other things having been really good at sapping energy and enthusiasm (however, have gotten approval for my requested time off, so shall be at Darkover this year, one way or another).

For now, perhaps determination will suffice instead, since I've a great store of that as yet.
