Been a week without internet. Have not written much of Admit Me, Chorus to This History. Have finished my HLH story. Am mostly happy with it, though not as happy as I would be if I'd managed to get the other story done in time. Which I've also worked on, and am aware that it still has at least three plot lines, no end in sight, and I'm still not sure how the three storylines are going to tie into each other yet.

I've also gotten boxes unpacked, picked up a piece of embroidery again (and recreated the pattern since I'd lost the original), discovered I really don't like the idea of trying to do my laundry by hand, but hand-washing dishes is faster and easier and less hassle than worry with the dishwasher, and had a Tuesday where I didn't come home early from work.

And I've rediscovered the joy of a crock-pot. Put stuff in before going to work, come home to an apartment that smells yummy, and food that's ready for cooling, moving to the fridge, and packaging for freezing in the morning. Half a week's worth of dinners cooked in one night. Last night's was chicken and mushrooms and onions and carrots. Tonight's will be apples and zucchini, with garlic, ginger, cinnamon, allspice and clove, and a mix of water and cider to keep it from going dry. I won't have to go grocery shopping or cook until Thursday a week.

Well, I'll still have to cook a little - some pasta to go with the chicken part of things for dinner - but not all that much. And I should look at rice the next time I go grocery shopping. Rice is nummy and inexpensive and easy to cook. And filling. Stretch food budget further and possibly get a book I'm looking at for a research book. Because books on the early 15th century are an excellent thing, particularly those that involve Henry V.

Yeah, still very much in the groove with that particular king, though I'm back to my usual slightly broader focus. Mostly. I think. I've been looking at other fandoms I know I love again, anyway.

Though, on the subject of Henry V and related things, I found the copy I have of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare. I need to find a way to transfer my audio from my little voice-recorder to my computer. And then sit down and recite my favorite monologues from the various plays I've read and enjoyed. So I can have them crop up at random intervals among the music while I'm at work, and murmur along with the recording. That, or find out if there's recordings of such online. *shrugs* I'll figure it out, one way or another.

So, anyway. The rest of the week is for finishing the second chapter of Admit Me, Chorus to This History, and for getting the HLH story submitted. And then picking up a thread in my sandbox, and figuring out who I'd want to play in CH, because I'm going to have to change my characters in order to get back into the swing of that game. Possibly Henry or his brother Humphrey, because they're both very present, and I think it might be entertaining to unleash one or both of them on the game. I'll figure out which or both later. This weekend. After getting other things done what need done.

And then I will have lots of notes to make regarding the rest of the plot of Admit Me, Chorus to This History, some notes on its potential sequels, notes for Humphrey's pet plot bunny, notes for the other AU/AH that I want to work on with that king, possibly some notes on points of history for the Eternal Plantagenet AU, and probably some notes on fic-of-fic that I haven't worked on in a while, and really should. Also, figure out if Humphrey's pet plot bunny wants to really be it's own AU, or if it wants to feed off [personal profile] hyarrowen's Henry's Journey. Either way, it should be fun.

And Admit Me, Chorus to This History has now reached the point where Henry is king - I'm ending the second chapter on the coronation rather than on a couple of deaths - and so there's nine more years of story-time to cover in two chapters and an epilogue. Highlights including Southampton Plot, the siege of Harfluer, Agincourt, the 1417 campaign, the death of John the Fearless, the Treaty of Troyes, the marriage of Catherine of Valois, the 1421 campaign, the death of Henry V, and the death of Charles VI of France. None of which are technically spoilers, because all of that is already history, if not the manner in which it will happen as I write the story. There are other details as well, and another 20k for the two chapters and I've no idea how long the epilogue is going to be, save not nearly as long as a chapter.

After that? There's No King of England If Not King of France and Love Is a Spirit All Compact of Fire, as well as story tangents I can chase down that I can't cover in the main story. As well as previously mentioned other universes and stories to work on. Plus potential overtime at work. I'm going to be busy. *is grinning madly*

I think that's all for now, and I shall stop babbling and go do some work on a story before I have to get food into the crockpot and ready for work.
