At least the pages I've been updating look more like what I want them too. And I've learned some more about HTML, CSS, and related things. It doesn't make it less frustrating, but it's there. And it's getting better. In the meantime, I'm going to continue to mutter about the insistence on the proliferation of quotation marks everywhere, because it's making my head hurt. Not that I'm not going to do this right, just. There's a lot to update.
Also, still can't get div tags to work the way all the stupid tutorials say they're supposed to, and I can't figure out why. I'm following the example, and I don't get what they're implying I should be able to get. And don't get me started on the so-called better ways of putting things where you want them with positioning in CSS. Because one of the things I most want? I can't get it to do.
And no, I don't want helpful suggestions. Because until I figure out how to make it work on my own, all a suggestion on how to make it work will do is make me want to scream.
Anyway, this rant brought to you by my need to get it out before I actually scream or break down in tears of frustration. Before I go back to making things better. Theoretically better, anyway. *sighs, and mutters more rude things about the project and the tools to do it*
